The new year has only just begun, and nature has already given us a beautiful gift. On 2 January, there was a real winter cold snap at the Harfenmühle campsite.
It started very quietly...
Actually, not much had been announced for this day. In the morning, the first, very light snowflakes fell from the sky. We all thought: „Nice, a little powdered sugar for the looks.“ But the weather forecast must have been wrong!
What began as light snowfall kept increasing. After a short time, the fine drifting had become a real snow flurry. Since it was snowing much more than predicted, the Harfenmühle turned within just a few hours into a real
An Enchanted World
The surprise was perfect! Everywhere on the grounds, there were amazed faces:
Nature: The adjacent national park looked completely different under the thick, white blanket – like something out of a fairy-tale forest.
Silence: Snow swallows every sound. It became wonderfully peaceful here on the grounds.
The Fun: Because there was so much more snow than expected, many guests immediately pulled out their thick winter clothes. The first snow angels weren't long in coming!
Coziness After the Wonder
After we had all enjoyed the unexpected fresh snowfall, it was time to head into the warmth! Nothing tastes better than a hot tea or a glass of red wine in our restaurant, while watching through the window as the flakes keep falling.
