Our year-end hike

Just before New Year’s Eve, on 30 December, we experienced a very special afternoon. It was the time to let the year come to a calm close and enjoy the winter atmosphere at Harfenmühle together.

Light at Dusk

At 4:30 p.m., we all met in front of the restaurant. The sun had just set and it was slowly getting dark – the perfect time for our torchlight hike.

It goes across the campsite like a long line

Everyone got a pitch torch. The warm, flickering light of the flames looked beautiful in the evening twilight. Together we walked in a long line across the campsite. It was completely quiet and peaceful, with only the crackling of the torches to be heard. A moment that was truly good for the soul!

Cozy by the Fire

After our walk, a crackling fire was waiting for us. We all gathered around it to warm our hands and noses.

It was a really lovely get-together:

There was lots of laughter and conversation.
Guests and the Harfenmühle team chatted with each other.
We looked back together on the year that was nearly over.

Delicious from the region

Of course, food was also a must. We chose regional specialties that taste especially good:

To warm up: There was hot cherry mulled wine from Kelterei Merg for the adults and delicious cocoa for the children.
To satisfy hunger: there were fresh sausages from Kneppel Butcher's Shop in a roll from Risch Bakery. They tasted especially good right by the fire.

This torchlit hike was more than just a walk. It was an evening full of warmth, community, and good conversations. Moments like these make a winter holiday at Harfenmühle truly special.
